Regulation Changes In The NZ Building Sector

Feeling awash with acronyms and punch drunk with procedures? As a Certified Financial Planner and now an Authorised Financial Advisor, Deborah Carlyon has been through her fair share of regulation changes. 

On January 1st 2015 there will also be new consumer protection measures through the Building Amendment Act 2013. The aim they say is to improve the building and construction sector, to ensure good quality, affordable homes and buildings.

But as Deborah says, as an advisor in any industry most professionals already feel they are acting in the best interest of the client. So why do we need all these changes?
