Carefully choosing which parts of their home to renovate ensured these Wellington homeowners saw a spectacular transformation within the limits of their budget. Working with Refresh Renovations Consultant Danielle Paul, the couple decided on clever design, sleek details and a minimalist palette to elevate the laundry, pantry and bathroom of their home. This bathroom was looking tired and a lack of storage space made it feel cramped and cluttered. Renovation Consultant Kim Reiche at Refresh Renovations was tasked with freshening up the space and adding plenty of drawers and cupboards.

The transformed room now feels stylish and spacious. A mirrored cabinet and long vanity unit provide ample storage, and the black tapware and fittings contrast beautifully with the white fixtures, and tiled walls and flooring. A large freestanding bathtub, underfloor heating, and a double washbasin add luxurious touches and contribute to the overall effect.

Refresh Renovation Consultant Saleem Bhikoo was tasked with transforming this 1930s bungalow into a stylish and practical space for modern living. Both bathrooms and the kitchen needed freshening up, and the clients wanted to create an open-plan living area to improve the flow of the property. 

The kitchen now boasts beautiful stone benchtops, a large breakfast bar, and a new layout which makes it ideal for entertaining. The bathrooms have stylish marble effect walls and flooring, with dark wood vanity units providing contrast. Large mirrored cabinets emphasise the natural light to create a contemporary ambience to the home. 

This bathroom was looking tired and old-fashioned, with many of the features originating from when the house was built in the 1980s. Wayne Gordon from Refresh Renovations was tasked with bringing the homeowner’s vision of a practical and modern bathroom to life.

Emerald green tiling works with walnut coloured cabinetry to create a sense of calm and tranquility. A toilet/bidet has been installed, the bath replaced with a large walk-in shower, and the layout adjusted to make the most of the natural light. Removing the bath has also made room for shelving and a heated towel rail.

This bathroom was 25 years old and desperately in need of a refresh. Renovation Consultant Sharon Giblett met the challenge of creating something stylish and modern that optimised the room's potential and offered plenty of storage options.

The result is a beautiful space with a large mirrored cabinet that reflects the light to create an airy feel. A black vanity unit provides ample storage and offers an exciting contrast to the light-coloured walls and fittings. A curved shower has improved the layout, and a deep bath and heated towel rail provide a touch of luxury.

Creating beautiful bathrooms, a functional laundry room, and a welcoming façade were the main goals during the Refresh Renovations’ project in Maraetai. Local Renovation Consultant Kim Reiche spearheaded this interior and exterior makeover. 

The homeowners requested cosmetic updates to their main and ensuite bathrooms which now look fantastic with floor-to-ceiling tiles, recessed shelving, and bright airy feel. Outside, a resort-style entranceway with beautiful gabled ceilings, aluminium shutters, and a stunning view of the Tamaki Strait is an inviting and attractive way to be welcomed into the home. 

Even the ideal location, ample natural light, and lovely views couldn’t make up for the dysfunctional aspects of this 1980s property. The homeowners loved the neighbourhood but couldn’t find a comparable house nearby. Instead, they decided to transform their home with Refresh Renovations. 

Extending their living space by converting an underused deck allowed for an altered layout that flows between the lounge and kitchen. Two new bathrooms with a modern design, new flooring, and lighting throughout, improved insulation, and a spectacular reimagined living area have given this home new life. And an added outdoor entertaining space makes this Pukekohe property the total package. 

While this Grafton townhouse had all the benefits of inner-city living, the bathrooms were stuck in the past. Refresh Renovations was enlisted to transform the master bathroom and ensuite into brighter, more inviting and modernised spaces. Renovation Consultants John and Maree de Latour did just that. Interesting details such as embossed tiles and floating wooden shelves added low-key luxury to the master bathroom and ensured the final look was timeless.
