Magic in Melbourne: A Complete Modern Bathroom and Laundry Transformation

Magic in Melbourne: A Complete Modern Bathroom and Laundry Transformation

Renovation Partner Leigh McDonald worked diligently to bring the homeowner’s vision to life; the big picture being to create a modern bathroom and laundry room that would be practical to use.

The renovated bathroom now features a spacious shower with dual shower heads, a back-to-wall bathtub, and floor-to-ceiling grey tiling. Meanwhile, the laundry room has been freshened up with white walls, upgraded with plentiful cabinetry, and continues the grey tile motif used in the bathroom.

Above all, improving functionality was most important for this renovation, which is precisely what Leigh from Refresh Renovations has achieved.

A Unique Bathroom Design in Churton Park, Wellington

A Unique Bathroom Design in Churton Park, Wellington

This renovation involved completely upgrading the property’s bathroom and making additional improvements to the kitchen and front door. Throughout the process, Renovation Partner Lia Boersma (from Refresh Renovations) worked collaboratively with the homeowner to ensure the outcome reflected their vision in mind – the results of which are stunning.

Of the upgrades, the bathroom’s renovation is undoubtedly the standout transformation. Unique tiling patterns were the focal point of this room’s design. Striking stack bond tiling spans the walls and is met halfway up by horizontal chevron tiling, creating a beautiful distinction between the colours and shapes. Meanwhile, the new walk-in shower, custom-built shelving, and floating vanity provide exceptional functional enhancements.

Black and White and Anything but Plain

Black and White and Anything but Plain

The owners of this home were happy with their kitchen’s layout but wanted to give it a contemporary upgrade, both stylistically and functionally. After reaching out to Refresh Renovations, they were introduced to local Renovation Partner Wayne Gordon who undertook the entire process of renewing the space.

The results are stunning. A primarily white colour scheme has completely brightened up the room and contrasts beautifully with the striking splashback. New stone benchtops and sleek appliances provide significant functional improvements and contribute to the contemporary style. And while the design refrains from using pops of colour, the monochrome look is anything but plain.

A Stylish Bathroom and Laundry Renovation in Waihi

A Stylish Bathroom and Laundry Renovation in Waihi

When it comes to baches, location is king and design is often neglected. Peter Jenkins, a Renovation Partner from Refresh Renovations, rejected that idea and brought chic to the bathrooms and laundry at this Waihi bach.

Both bathrooms now have a striking charcoal feature wall, floating vanities, and grey splashbacks with statement tiling – while one uses hexagonal tiles, the other is crafted with metallic stack bond tiles. Meanwhile, the laundry has been established with plentiful storage and bench space all wrapped up in soft neutral colours, making it a beautiful place to wash sandy beach towels.

Lively Revival for Island Bay Villa

Lively Revival for Island Bay Villa

Expanding the floor area and reconfiguring the internal layout allowed space for this coastal villa’s new modern style to thrive, all thanks to Renovation Partner Steve Wang from Refresh Renovations.

The villa now boasts a collection of thoughtfully bold yet refined design features. A green mosaic splashback in the kitchen, blush pink walls in one bathroom, and a stunning clawfoot tub in another each make compelling statements that have been unified by the dark flooring throughout. A Unique Open-plan Design for Contemporary Living

A Unique Open-plan Design for Contemporary Living

This Papakowhai home transformation was led by Renovation Partner Steve Wang from Refresh Renovations.

The kitchen, dining area, and two lounge spaces share the same room, enjoying the spacious feel of open-plan living. However, you can’t see all of the main living areas at once.  The design includes a dividing wall positioned in the centre, which creates subtle separation for more privacy.

The bathrooms feature deep oceanic hues complemented by timber flooring and fresh white walls. And as for the converted garage, the space has become highly practical with a multi-purpose design that enables use as an office, guest room, or laundry – whatever it needs to be.
