Chic Kitchen Transformation in Riverlea, Hamilton

Chic Kitchen Transformation in Riverlea, Hamilton

These Riverlea homeowners reached out to Refresh Renovations for assistance in refurbishing their 1970s property. The kitchen’s original footprint was functional so keeping it helped the project stay on budget and allowed for funds to be focused solely on the chic design. Renovation Consultant Steve Roper utilised smart design materials such as luxury vinyl tile flooring and wood-look laminate benchtops to deliver a stylish result without breaking the bank. The timeless essence of the subway tiled splashback takes on a modern twist with non-traditional black grout. Fresh flooring throughout — LVT in the kitchen and dining area and carpet in the bedrooms and lounge — completed the home’s transformation.

Transformed with a New Look Inside and Out

Transformed with a New Look Inside and Out

This Refresh Renovations project led by Renovation Consultant Paul Cree involved transforming both the interior and exterior of this Viewbank home. With roofs of varying height and pitch, the exterior appeared disjointed, a consequence of the original structure having been built in the 1960s with a second-storey extension coming along 20 years later.

Re-pitching the roofs to a uniform degree gives the property cohesion from the outside and allowed for the kitchen’s ceiling to be raised and the layout to be altered. Additional floor space from the reconfiguration creates a large, open-plan kitchen and lounge area that’s perfect for entertaining, a favourite past time of the epicurean homeowners.
