ASKO Launch: Introducing a high class product to the market

The Jones Family Business introduces ASKO’s full product line to New Zealand

The Renovate team took a peek at the exciting range from ASKO in association with the Jones Family business.

The Jones Family Business, distributor of ASKO products in New Zealand, celebrated the introduction of ASKO’s full range of stylish cooking appliances, laundry appliances and dishwashers to New Zealand in the form of a fashion show on the 14th of November.

The show was held in partnership with European fashion designer Turet Knuefermann of ‘TK’ fame and took place at the suitably stylish ‘Mantells On The Water’ in Auckland.

Attendees included kitchen designers, architects and media, as well as notable VIP’s including Matteo Camesasca, ASKO Global Executive Director, Crt Prasnikar, ASKO Managing Director of Australia and The Honorable Frank Olsson, Honorary Consul for Sweden.

ASKO’s new appliances took centre stage at the event, which kicked off with drinks and a runway show sporting a collection of TK’s latest sophisticated designs. TK is known for their clean, elegant lines and high quality craftsmanship, perfectly complementing ASKO’s new products.

After the fashion show, Mark Jones, Chairman of The Jones Family Business took to the stage. He discussed The Jones Family Business’ long-standing relationship with the ASKO brand and how the company is looking forward to the next chapter of their association with ASKO.

Matteo Camesasca, ASKO Global Executive Director also addressed the crowd and comments: “ASKO welcomes The Jones Family into the ASKO Group. We believe this association will strengthen our global position and most notably our position in the Asia Pacific region”.

The Jones Family Business is particularly excited about the introduction of ASKO’s full range of award winning cooking appliances to the New Zealand market. The range includes ASKO’s Elements range, Pro Series and Craft series.

The Elements range comprises a collection of exquisitely crafted kitchen appliances. Black glass, clean-cut edges, professional, easy-touch functions, and matching designs characterise the range.

Appliances in this range include multi-functional ovens, combination steam ovens, pyrolytic ovens, combination microwaves and warming drawers, a variety of cooktops, several new hoods, and arguably the star of the show, a ‘Fusion Volcano Wok’ burner.

ASKO’s Fusion Wok burner is different to most wok burners in that it generates a vast amount of heat, which is concentrated directly on the base of the pan, rather than the sides. It also maintains a high temperature, even when more ingredients are added.

The Elements Duo Fusion Gas and Induction hob was also highlighted. The hob combines two energy sources: an induction cooktop and the Fusion Volcano Wok burner. These two cooking methods are combined onto one piece of 6mm ceramic glass – the first cooktop to truly cater for lovers of the gas flame and technology of induction cooking in one appliance.

Jon Carlehed, Head of Design at ASKO appliances describes the Elements range as: “Refined yet simple. It is clean and it is down to earth.”

ASKO’s Pro Series has been designed for the professionally minded home cook. Inspired by ASKO’s heritage, the range carries all the hallmarks of Scandinavian design: minimalism, simplicity and functionalism.

ASKO’s Craft Series also comprises a comprehensive range of ovens, a coffee machine, combination microwaves, hobs and hoods. Under-stated elegance, high quality craftsmanship, natural materials and smart functionality are hallmarks of the range, which should integrate seamlessly with most contemporary interiors.

A selection of ASKO’s state-of-the-art laundry appliances and dishwashers also made an appearance. ASKO’s laundry appliances have been designed with a focus on durability, environmental sustainability and quality design.

As is the case with all other ASKO appliances, ASKO’s dishwashers are designed with one aim in mind: Making everyday life simpler for customers.

The show made for an exciting evening and was well received by all those who attended. In closing, Crt Prasnikar said: “We at ASKO are delighted to have formed a long-lasting relationship with The Jones Family Business. We believe our synergies and mutual ideologies will help create a strengthening of the ASKO brand in the New Zealand market.”

The full ASKO range of appliances can be found exclusively at Kitchen Things – The Specialists in Premium European Appliances.
