Design director Barry overseas all things Renovate Magazine. With an unstoppable drive to remodel houses and a love of interior design and classic modern furniture, design director Barry Bloomfield is the perfect match for Renovate. Leaving his first house in Oxfordshire, England behind - a traditional stone built home with a modern interior designed by him - he moved to New Zealand 18 years ago. Since then he's lived in no less than six houses, all of which have some level of renovation under his guiding eye, culminating in a new, architect designed home.

"My interest in architecture, interior design and product design stems from an early part of my career when I worked with Terence Conran in the UK (who established the Habitat Stores)," says Barry. "I grew to appreciate all forms of design." Barry's portfolio includes some of the best known brands in the world. Amongst other things, he put the star in the Heineken logo and completely designed the store layout of the Boots chain of pharmacies in the UK.
