Kylie Jurgensen has had a varied and sporadic renovating career, taking her from city to coast to mountains with occasional detours to obscure and undesirable locations off the beaten track. She specialises in the impossible, the irredeemable and the ill-advised – all of which she takes on with unflagging optimism and questionable taste. Kylie says she is an “inveterate dreamer” whose decade-long affair with Google has propelled her to scale hitherto unimagined heights of renovation fantasy.

When not at a keyboard she can be found curled up in an old wingback chair, surrounded by chaos and piles of home improvement magazines. To round out her portfolio she now has a troop of five small children who have yet to know a home without dropsheets, and a long-suffering husband who can fortunately turn his hand to pretty much anything.
