The little veggie patch guide to backyard farming
REVIEWED Gareth Poley
There is a chapter for every month of the year, providing useful advice on what to plant, what to harvest, what to cook as well as fun activities to do at that time of year.
I particularly enjoyed the playful approach to the step-by-step project activities. One of my favourite ideas is a vertical veggie garden. It’s recommended for small areas and areas where sunlight may be scarce at ground level. Going up helps you increase your available planting surface and it also makes it easier to grow an editable garden with confidence that your food is out of reach from pets and children.
