A Modern Industrial Makeover in Tawa, Wellington

A Modern Industrial Makeover in Tawa, Wellington

To undertake an extensive renovation of their 70s property in Tawa, this homeowner reached out to Mark Morrison from Refresh Renovations. They had previously worked with Mark on a bathroom renovation, and since it was so successful, they wanted his professional assistance for a second time.

This renovation has completely renewed the property’s interiors with plush new carpeting, resurfaced flooring, and fresh wall paint. But beyond these upgrades, two large improvements have made a significant difference. New french doors now open onto the back deck for greater indoor/outdoor flow; meanwhile, the kitchen has transformed with an industrial design that features impressive stone benchtops.

A Stylish Bathroom and Laundry Renovation in Waihi

A Stylish Bathroom and Laundry Renovation in Waihi

When it comes to baches, location is king and design is often neglected. Peter Jenkins, a Renovation Consultant from Refresh Renovations, rejected that idea and brought chic to the bathrooms and laundry at this Waihi bach.

Both bathrooms now have a striking charcoal feature wall, floating vanities, and grey splashbacks with statement tiling – while one uses hexagonal tiles, the other is crafted with metallic stack bond tiles. Meanwhile, the laundry has been established with plentiful storage and bench space all wrapped up in soft neutral colours, making it a beautiful place to wash sandy beach towels.

An Ex-Statehouse with Style in Naenae

An Ex-Statehouse with Style in Naenae

The renovation of this ex-state house has established a stunning modern interpretation of the 1930’s building, with subtle nods to the endearing elements of its original design.

Led by Renovation Consultant Steve Wang from Refresh Renovations, the transformation completely changed the home’s feel. The kitchen has been expanded along the back wall with pale blue cabinetry, providing more storage room and bench space in a retro design. The laundry has been hidden in plain sight, concealed behind sliding doors. And as for the bathroom, aqua coloured subway tiling makes a splash.

Lively Revival for Island Bay Villa

Lively Revival for Island Bay Villa

Expanding the floor area and reconfiguring the internal layout allowed space for this coastal villa’s new modern style to thrive, all thanks to Renovation Consultant Steve Wang from Refresh Renovations.

The villa now boasts a collection of thoughtfully bold yet refined design features. A green mosaic splashback in the kitchen, blush pink walls in one bathroom, and a stunning clawfoot tub in another each make compelling statements that have been unified by the dark flooring throughout. However, the open-plan layout and large french doors arguably make the greatest impact of all.

A Unique Open-plan Design for Contemporary Living

A Unique Open-plan Design for Contemporary Living

This Papakowhai home transformation was led by Renovation Consultant Steve Wang from Refresh Renovations.

The kitchen, dining area, and two lounge spaces share the same room, enjoying the spacious feel of open-plan living. However, you can’t see all of the main living areas at once.  The design includes a dividing wall positioned in the centre, which creates subtle separation for more privacy.

The bathrooms feature deep oceanic hues complemented by timber flooring and fresh white walls. And as for the converted garage, the space has become highly practical with a multi-purpose design that enables use as an office, guest room, or laundry – whatever it needs to be.

A Renovated Bungalow in Karori, Wellington

A Renovated Bungalow in Karori, Wellington

The owners of this 1950s bungalow got in touch with Refresh Renovations to give their property’s kitchen, bathroom, and lounge a much-needed update. Working with local Renovation Consultant Lia Boersma, they certainly accomplished what they set out to achieve.

Thoughtful design is evident in every corner of the bungalow. In the kitchen, textured teal tiles catch the sun and mimic the sea, while exposed timber cabinets pair perfectly to create an oceanic colour palette.

The bathroom continues these stylistic statements, which provide a pop of colour to the space. Completed with crisp white walls and new flooring throughout, this bungalow has received a fantastic upgrade that isn’t without character.

A Creative Studio Space and Tranquil Modern Bathrooms in Mulgrave, Melbourne

Renovation Consultant Paul Cree led this transformative renovation, establishing a creative studio extension and upgrading two bathrooms with contemporary style.

Both bathrooms use sharp lines and a neutral palette to create a tranquil, modern design. The statement mirrors make the spaces feel larger, and the natural wood vanities bring warmth to the palette. The designs are all pulled together by striking tiled feature walls and stunning walk-in showers.

As for the studio extension, custom-built storage runs the length of the room (perfect for organising supplies) while a skylight illuminates the space with natural light. Altogether, this Refresh Renovations project is the perfect blend of practicality and elegance.
